State of the Art Infrastructure:

We believe in sparing no expense when it comes down to network infrastructure, hardware, and bandwidth. Since our clients have come to rely on incredibly stable, available and reliable software platforms we strive to make absolutely certain that every aspect of our technology bak end is equal to their expectations. We only deal with like-minded technology partners which share our business philosophy and constantly challenge them to prove that they remain the best solution for our fast growing company.

Technology is what we do!

Our primary production server farm is located in the NAP of the Americas in Miami. We also maintain redundant fail over systems in additional geographic locations. Our technicians are on site to maintain all our hardware and connectivity needs.

General Info:
Terremark's flagship facility, the NAP of the Americas®, is one of the most significant telecommunications projects in the world.  The Tier-IV facility was the first purpose-built, carrier-neutral Network Access Point and is the only facility of its kind specifically designed to link Latin America with the rest of the world. Miami has been ranked as one of the top-five best interconnected cities in the world, ahead of San Francisco, Chicago and Washington, D.C. Terremark's NAP of the Americas makes Miami the only city in the U.S. where Optical, Ethernet, MPLS, Voice and Internet traffic are handed off in a single location.  The NAP of the Americas is located in downtown Miami, an area that has numerous telecommunications carrier facilities, fiber loops, international cable landings, and multiple power grids. The convergence of telecommunications infrastructure is why global carriers, ISPs and other Internet-related businesses, educational institutions, and enterprises have chosen to become Terremark clients. Switching the majority of South America, Central America and the Caribbean's layer-1, layer-2 and layer-3 traffic bound to more than 148 countries in the world, makes the NAP of the Americas the unrivaled gateway to the Americas. This unique facility provides you with a secure, reliable carrier-neutral facility with direct backbone access to the world's major carriers. Via this massive connectivity, we can deliver to millions of businesses and consumers virtually anywhere in the world any available service from any network service provider in the world.

Connectivity, Power and Environmental Info:
More than 160 global carriers exchange data at the NAP of the Americas.  Currently, seven Tier 1 service providers provide the data center with upstream access to the global Internet. This gives this facility unparalleled routing table access and multi-homing capabilities. Terremark requires these service providers to have at least OC-48 capacity to maintain connectivity to our network.

The electrical and mechanical systems at the NAP of the Americas represent the most advanced and reliable integrated systems of their kind in the world.  These systems have proven to be an important differentiator in attracting a highly sophisticated client base.

The following power, environmental, and fire suppression capabilities exist to protect the NAP of the Americas.

Power Environmentals
100% AC power availability guarantee Five redundant chilled-water heat exchange systems with 2000 tons of chilled water to cool the building
Redundant power vaults fed from multiple substations Humidity maintained at 45% - 55%
Two independent 13,200 volt feeders supply the medium voltage switchgear Air systems refreshed through filtered vents at four sides of the building
Increments of 10 AMP or 20 AMP circuit AC CPS-backed power Electronic detection systems for monitoring and maintaining all environmentals
Increments of DC 20 AMP – 48 Volts DC circuit A&B feed Smoke and heat sensors provided in:
- Colocation space
- Communication equipment rooms
- Mechanical and electrical rooms
Uninterrupted, stable power by 6 HiTEC Continuous Power Systems which provide a transfer time 10 times better than a typical UPS power system found in most data centers TotalPac Pre-action dry pipe fire suppression system which holds water outside of the building until a fire is verified, ensuring that water will not accidentally drain into equipment areas
Each HiTEC unit is rated at 2 megawatts for a total of 12 megawatts of capacity Temperature continuously kept at 72°F ± 5°F

The power and environmental systems of the NAP of the Americas are so advanced that our technicians can perform maintenance on any element of your system without impacting your operations.  This design allows us to deliver an unprecedented 100% availability guarantee for all power and environmental systems.

Dyn (pronounced “dine”) is the worldwide Internet Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) leader, powering Managed DNS and Email Delivery for over four million enterprise clients, small businesses and home users. Simply put, Dyn helps websites run faster and be more reliable, while also ensuring that transactional emails that consumers want and need reach their inboxes. We make the Internet a better place.

Our People:
We love what we do. That’s why, in an industry that has a reputation of being stuffy, we like to inject a little fun. At conferences, we hand out t-shirts featuring our latest marketing campaigns (DNS Is Sexy or Get Some IaaS) and put on our versions of networking events (DynTinis and Music Meets Tech) that blur the line between networking and hanging out.

The method to all of this madness: you do business with the people you like and we think you’ll like us.

While we don’t take ourselves too seriously, our pride and joy is our network and technology. Dyn has a reputation for being fast and reliable with DNS roots dating back to 2001 when we first launched DynDNS. In 2007, we made the move upstream and began offering our DNS platform to enterprise-level clients. We’ve scaled alongside clients like Twitter, Zappos, Etsy, Homeaway, Pandora and hundreds more.

In 2010, we started offering Email Delivery services. We now have more than 15,000 email senders whose revenue is increasing because more emails are finding their way into the inbox, powered by best practices rather than smoke and mirrors.

While we’ve come a long way, we’re not ready to settle. In fact, we’re constantly preparing for the future. Our labs division is the technical playground for the company’s next great DNS and Email Delivery innovations and service with an overarching question of ‘What’s next?’

We believe a good culture is as important to a company’s infrastructure as DNS and Email Delivery. That is why we started Culture-Con, a traveling road show that deep dives into the role of culture in the business world.

While we don’t claim to have all the answers, we’re qualified to be instigators, especially since we were recently named one of the Most Democratic Workplaces in the World and were inducted into the New Hampshire Hall of Fame as an Employer of Choice.
